Children of the Moon
September 11, 2011
I’d never considered writing about werewolves. Not to say I don’t enjoy a good werewolf story or movie. It was just something I’d never thought about doing. One night I had this dream. It was about a girl stranded in this strange small town and as dusk approached, all the residents began acting strangely. They rushed to get secured indoors. The girl was scared and alone and had no idea what was coming. The next day I woke anxious to write. That was how “Paradise Grove” was born and I had the nerve to dip a baby toe into the werewolf pool. And I liked it.
Even though the story wasn’t solely about werewolves and it was a minor experimentation with them, C. Bryan Brown liked it enough to republish. To which I’m grateful because I really enjoyed writing it. Children of the Moon brings you stories about these dangerous, powerful, beautiful, and sometimes misunderstood creatures. Be sure to check it out.
